Marcuse is quite crucial as the grandfather of CRT and the whole gender lunacy. James Lindsay at New Discourses has a four-part lecture series on the subject:

I think we can thank Herbert Marcuse for the situation. What we are witnessing today was clearly laid out in his essay ‘Repressive Tolerance’ from 1965.

Thanks Tanja for the post which prompted me to look at the derivation of "tolerance". Here is a useful link - https://www.etymonline.com/word/tolerance

A few words that interested me in relation to the meaning of tolerance - "to bear, to endure". It seems to me at the moment, we are being called in to endure but ultimately we all need to work out our "intolerables".
