It's interesting to read your post this week Tanja and be reminded of the simplicity and difficulty of transparency and excellent communication and rewarding those who bring inconvenient facts to attention. Being able to make sensible decisions rather than just following rules has become increasingly rare. I saw an elderly man at the bank yesterday unable to get a printout of his wife's bank account because he wasn't authorized. She was in a nursing home and he wanted to take her the statement. Noone at the bank would make a commonsense decision. This is the world we are living in. I suppose that also is the impact of COVID. However, you see glimpses of outstanding management in individual pockets and it gives you hope.
Thank you for your thoughts, Reuben. Unfortunately the glimpses are becoming more scarce. But as long as there are great people with values and common sense out there, there will always be hope.
