I hope my reply conveyed the sentiments of your topic, that yes I agree that relationships are sort of business / partnership arrangemennt.
After all relationships are consummated in the ultimate contract of marriage that has even more stringent conditions applied to it than most business deals.
And therefore thinking or seeing it in this way can pave the way for a better and more successful outcome than not.
Love does not have to die on the hill of irrationality and chaos.
Absolutely, but even if not, I am always happy to hear other perspectives and suggestions. I learn every day and know that what I say can sometimes be polarising and perhaps even thought-provoking.
I asked my partner if she would like to join in a partnership with me, about 4 wks after meeting, I said I was looking for collaboration in life, to be inspired and to inspire, a working relationship.
She was a little shocked but accepted amd now we have a flourishing and evolving relationship thats is oacked with passion ,love and yes great sex!
The point was, I was sick of meeting strangers and succumbing to the instincts of passion that burns bright a intensely only for the flames to die out quickly, This way we were able to explore ideas and our views of life and discover each other from a bit of a distance in a way if you like! To observe what it is that we each bring to the party and proposed partnership, to set the agenda of truth in caring, consideration , listening, understanding and the ability to explore these facets of life together.
Did I kill any idea of romance between us? Not al all , we are both passionate, sensual and sexual people,
We have discovered our shared passions for literature, music, dance , have discovered a shared sense of humor ,
We have and understanding of obligation to each other in caring for our emotional beings , and a clear understanding of the support in our fragile moments is mutual, honest and true.
So yes a contract is what we have in a way , a commitment!
Why waste time on a rollercoaster ride that just keeps going round and around when we can ride the train off into the sunset together.
Thank you Tanja,
