Very thoughtful piece Tanja and worthwhile reading a few times. Your point about making a good ending is true - much easier to start than to end or even know when to end!

I have a presentation to young university students in a few weeks and I took note of this paragraph which I will keep in mind and emphasize to myself: "Being on is not just about showing up. It requires continuous adjustment. Attention held in the right place. Emotional tone calibrated to the room. Responses measured. Presence sustained. Even silence chosen deliberately."

Thanks for your thoughtfulness and insights.

Thank you, Reuben. I’m delighted you took the time to read the piece so closely.

I loved reading that you’ll carry that paragraph with you into your presentation. Knowing that something written in one context finds its way into another, especially with students, feels very meaningful to me. That’s exactly the kind of conversation I hope these pieces can be part of.

Thank you for sharing your reflections so generously.
