As today is apparently International Fact-Checking Day, I thought I would share with you an article from March 29th that I find absolutely audacious. Despite all that is coming to the surface the media is still doing everything to demonise those who stayed awake through all of this and twisting everything so it fits their agenda.
Here is the translation and my own view on what was written here!
Conspiracy narratives
Why contrarians (wrongly) insist they were right from the start
By dpa 29.3.2023, 08:55 h
BERLIN - Lateral thinkers want to draw a line under the Corona pandemic and claim to have always predicted everything correctly - for example on the effectiveness of vaccination or masks. That is complete nonsense.
News about the coronavirus has not been on the front pages of newspapers every day for a long time. Only a few people still wear masks in public, and the number of new vaccinations seems to have stagnated for the most part. After more than three years of the pandemic, many people are longing for a conclusion. But so far there has been no final reappraisal.
Lateral thinkers and opponents of vaccination are poking into this gap in the balance sheet. If you believe their arguments, they want to have always known about masks and vaccinations. The most common narrative: with the Corona vaccinations, an unpredictable drug has been forced on everyone. They themselves, on the other hand, had always said that the drugs - often referred to by them as "poison injections" or "gene injections" - were dangerous to lethal. They claim that what was once branded a conspiracy myth is now accepted as fact.
Yes, they did know about masks and vaccinations, as they did their homework and listened to the scientists that were not bought. And again yes, we did know it to be true that the jab is dangerous, especially looking at access deaths since the jabs have been administered, and as was predicted at an early stage of the plandemic by many scientists, that were discredited and belittled by the media.
"Although there was no data available at the time, this milieu bought into the idea that vaccination was the devil right from the start," says psychologist Lea Frรผhwirth of the Center for Monitoring, Analysis and Strategy (Cemas). The institute investigates radicalisation tendencies and conspiracy narratives on the net.
Now, what a surprise! Firstly there was data, and it is well known that the development of a vaccine takes more than a few months to ensure it does not harm or kill people on a larger scale. But letโs continue the gaslighting and call the people that are capable to think for themselves, that use common sense and that actually follow the facts radicals. Repeat it often enough to ensure the division in the population can continue.
However, this image, which supporters still refer to now, was not created on the basis of expertise and the examination of facts, Frรผhwirth says. But purely from a gut feeling. "If by chance a result comes out that they assumed two years earlier, then it is the case of a blind chicken that sometimes finds a grain of corn," says the Cemas scientist.
This is what I mean by audacious. Sending the message that people who questioned the narrative and saw through the crime that was happening are now just lucky hunches. Again, the scientists that actually deserve that designation tried to warn the public very early on and how wonderfully coincidental that they were right.
On the occasion of the International Fact-Checking Day on Sunday (2 April), the Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa) has scrutinised three widespread theses from the lateral thinking and anti-vaccination environment:
1. claim: Everywhere it was said that the Corona vaccination had no side effects. The opposite is now evident in the many vaccine injuries.
Assessment: Inaccurate.
Facts: Yes, there were isolated voices, such as that of the then SPD member of the Bundestag and later Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach, who spoke of "vaccinations without side effects". But researchers have basically made it clear from the beginning that there is no such thing as a vaccine without side effects. Nor is their effectiveness 100 per cent. This is the case, for example, with flu vaccinations - and also with Covid vaccinations.
The then president of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), Lothar Wieler, for example, said several weeks before the first jab was even given: Not only the protective effect of the vaccination should be observed, but also possible side effects.
These are not swept under the carpet, but are registered and evaluated from the very beginning by the Paul Ehrlich Institute (PEI). The latest PEI report for the period until the end of October 2022 mentions almost 51,000 suspected cases of severe side effects after one of the approximately 188 million vaccinations. However, it is important to note that suspected cases are not proven side effects - and certainly not vaccine damage. According to the PEI, vaccination reactions are "often related to a vaccination in terms of time, but not necessarily in terms of cause".
According to research by the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung", by mid-March, 6600 applications for care benefits after a Corona vaccination claim had been received in 13 of the 16 federal states. At that time, almost 62 million people in these 13 states had received at least one Covid vaccination.
Reports about serious health consequences after a vaccination are certainly important to raise awareness of the issue. However, it should not be overlooked how rare such individual cases actually are and how much a vaccination protects against possible severe damage after a covid illness. "The bottom line is that the risk-benefit ratio remains very good in favour of vaccination," said Leif Erik Sander, Director of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases at the Charitรฉ Hospital in Berlin, on Twitter recently.
It was not just a few isolated voices that downplayed the risks of this jab. Vaccination was played down from the very beginning and it was always propagated as SAFE & EFFECTIVE! Information about it to those willing to be vaccinated was a joke. Vaccinations were given in cinemas, on excursion ships, in buses, and God knows where else. There was no information about side effects or risks. But let's be honest, how can you explain these risks and side effects if you don't know them because the so-called vaccine has simply not been sufficiently tested? And I am not even going to comment on the hideous numbers of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung study. We know that the cases are not rare, they are just almost impossible to get recognised.
2nd claim: A study by the renowned Cochrane research network proves that masks do not protect against Corona.
Rating: False.
Facts: This is a false and misleading interpretation of the review study, Cochrane even writes itself in mid-March. It is correct that the authors of the study looked at various scientific analyses of the effectiveness of certain measures: In addition to quarantine and hand washing, this also included general mask-wearing in the population - but not individual mask-wearing, for example, when confronted with a person infected with Covid.
For this scenario, a study by the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organisation will conclude as early as the end of 2021 that masks can significantly reduce the corona risk: If an infected and a non-infected person wear well-fitting FFP2 masks, the maximum risk of infection after 20 minutes is hardly more than one per thousand, even at the shortest distance in a room.
I can only comment on this with BS! Masks only do harm - and a lot of it.
Claim 3: Vaccination has never been of any use - not even against severe covid.
Assessment: false.
Facts: It is true that even vaccinated people can get infected with the coronavirus, end up in hospital or even die from covid-19. According to scientific findings, the protective effect decreases in the period after the last vaccination.
The RKI wrote at the beginning of March: Several months after a vaccination, an infection or mild course of Covid-19 could be prevented "in the meantime only to a small extent". However, after evaluating the Corona cases including the vaccination status around the turn of the year 2022/2023, it was noted that "the small proportion of the unvaccinated population represents a relatively large proportion of the Covid-19 cases with a severe course". For weeks in the past, unvaccinated people made up the majority of covid cases in intensive care units.
In a paper published in mid-January, the RKI wrote: "The effectiveness of the basic immunisation (two vaccinations) against hospitalisation due to covid-19 is on average a good 55 per cent, after a third dose more than 81 per cent and after a total of four vaccinations almost 96 per cent. This also applies to the currently circulating Omikron variant.
This almost makes me giggle. The definition of what a vaccine actually is was changed specifically to suit this plandemic, as was the definition and criteria for a pandemic. A vaccine used to be something that prevents infection as well as transmission. We all know that this jab does neither. So, at the end of the day, if you were to be very very generous, you could say (if there was any benefit at all) that it could be called a prophylactic medication.
Why do lateral thinkers cling to their narrative?
At the time, politicians had to make decisions again and again when scientific data and experience on the coronavirus were still scarce - but the time pressure was extremely high. In retrospect, one must always ask: Did the information that is available today already exist back then? Would it lead to a different decision now? What is remembered from April 2020 is the statement by the former Minister of Health Jens Spahn (CDU) that people will probably have to forgive each other a lot in a few months.
Conspiracy realists cling to the actual science that was not bought or bribed to fit the general narrative to control the public. There are many that are desperately trying to play the forgive-and-forget card and that would be fatal. This must never happen.
The lateral thinking scene, on the other hand, insisted early on that it was the exclusive bearer of truth. Those who regarded scientific evidence as elementary were "sleep sheep" for them. In the lateral thinking milieu, a group ideology with social ties was built up. In this bubble, followers got their confirmation. Old friendships may have fallen apart.
"The risk of having to admit you were wrong is enormously high," says Cemas expert Frรผhwirth in an interview with dpa. Society has also ridiculed these people as "covidiots", which makes it even more difficult to turn around. How are you supposed to get out of that in a face-saving way? "So they stick to their image and, if necessary, rewrite everything so that in the end they were somehow right."
Now, this is the definition of gaslighting and twisting everything around - again audacious. It is exactly the other way around and the media and compliant scientists created the disinformation and mass hysteria that was needed to ensure that the majority of the population would follow and comply. And now comes the best bit:
Holding on to disinformation about vaccination artificially maintains the protest potential in the scene. "One should not underestimate how powerful the repetition of these narratives alone is and how emotionally connectable," says Frรผhwirth.
In the process, mistrust and aggression are also stirred up - against politics, the media and academia. Anger is then coupled with a feeling of helplessness in the face of an alleged conspiracy. By telling people that the government wants to inject them to death, they create a legitimisation to fight back. According to Frรผhwirth, there is potential for violence in this: "I would definitely judge this as dangerous, especially because we simply didn't take it seriously for a long time.
The narrative that was repeated constantly like a prayer mill was that everyone is a potential killer, that we need to distance ourselves from everyone, that the savior is the jab etc. Again the media and so-called scientists are discrediting people with a different view or that question what is happening around them. Individuality, freedom of speech, and many other rights and values that our forefathers have fought for and paid for dearly are circling the drain and most people are watching them disappear passively.
๐ถMy Song of the Day
Is Tomโs Diner, a song by Susan Vega that I never much liked as I found it dead boring. But AnnenMayKantereit - one of the few German Bands I truly love - here with Giant Rooks, is fantastic. I just love the voices.

๐My Poem of the Day
Is again by Emily Dickinson (1830-1886)
Truthโis As Old As God
Truthโis as old as Godโ His Twin identity And will endure as long as He A Co-Eternityโ And perish on the Day Himself is borne away From Mansion of the Universe A lifeless Deity.

A really worthwhile and well written article. Initially I got taken in by all the hysteria. Then it was the daily death figures on the TV, just did not stack up and we started to question them. Looking around, hardly any one in our community was ill. Why are we still considered conspiracy theorists and no one wants to talk about this , let alone apologise for the professional, social of family gatherings I was not allowed to go to because of my non status. But then some of us know this was a deliberate plandemic and rehearsal for what may come. Great music suggestion as well, thanks
I'd say the article you're evaluating is hilarious, except that so many are suckered enough to believe it.
