The cries for a new infection control law are getting louder again in Germany. Allegedly, our health system is overburdened or it threatens to become overburdened. We have been hearing this for over two years now and I am so unbelievably fed up with this BS!
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour, and some style.” — Maya Angelou
Millions and millions have been spent on advertising campaigns for Covid and our health system, which has been in a state of disrepair for decades, is still not being rehabilitated. In 2020 alone (in the midst of a supposed pandemic), more than 20 hospitals were closed in Germany. The reason? They were no longer profitable!
So the pressing question is: Do hospitals necessarily have to make a profit? And should they even be geared towards profitability?
More and more hospitals are being privatised and are thus subject only to financial interests. The result is that it is not the person or the patient who is in the foreground, but the economic interests of the operators or their shareholders. This leads to considerable distortions. The number of lucrative operations and instrument-based diagnostics is very much increasing while the actual care for patients becomes almost irrelevant - or so it seems.
It is a really bad sign when management consultants are hired. Because they do what they do best: Cut jobs, condense work and close non-profitable departments. Which has led - and yes I repeat - to the closure of more than 20 clinics in 2020 in Germany. It is amazing to me to see how many billions are being frivolously spent on everything else but the people we depend on most in the hour of need.
Just one example: Management consultants advised a pharmaceutical company that produces a very effective drug against hepatitis C to stop investing in it. Because otherwise this disease would not become more widespread and would eventually make this drug completely superfluous. It is particularly bad when doctors (have to) advise on treatments or operations although no better result can be expected afterwards. It is quite simple, honest advice brings ZERO Euros, whereas even superfluous treatments are well remunerated.
It is not the plandemic that has burdened our health systems but the worldwide nonsensical, disgraceful, and inhumane policies.
Non-life-threatening treatments and operations are being postponed or cancelled because there are simply not enough staff to provide care. It is the logical consequence if nursing staff are first applauded and then threatened - no one has to put up with that. I can understand only too well if one is no longer interested in practising one's profession under these disparaging circumstances.
“Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” — Francis of Assisi

📚My Poem of the Day
Is a more inspirational one by the amazing Ella Wheeler Wilcox (1850-1919)
As You Go Through Life
Don't look for the flaws as you go through life; And even when you find them, It is wise and kind to be somewhat blind And look for the virtue behind them. For the cloudiest night has a hint of light Somewhere in its shadows hiding; It is better by far to hunt for a star, Than the spots on the sun abiding. The current of life runs ever away To the bosom of God's great ocean. Don't set your force 'gainst the river's course And think to alter its motion. Don't waste a curse on the universe-- Remember it lived before you. Don't butt at the storm with your puny form, But bend and let it go o'er you. The world will never adjust itself To suit your whims to the letter. Some things must go wrong your whole life long, And the sooner you know it the better. It is folly to fight with the Infinite, And go under at last in the wrestle; The wiser man shapes into God's plan As water shapes into a vessel.
