I THINK I AM LOSING IT!
I am very confused…
As someone with no medical education whatsoever I always had a very simple understanding of what a vaccine is supposed to do.
A vaccine should
a. prevent infection with a disease
b. prevent transmission of a disease
That’s essentially it - or so I thought in my naiveté!
The jabs that are being administered to the world population does neither. So why is it still called a vaccine when all it can perhaps, possibly, hopefully or maybe do is at best protect against a severe course of COVID-19. That to me (again in my very unprofessional view) seems like the jab could, if one is very generous, be described as a prophylactic medicine, as it does not protect against infection nor transmission of what I personally call the good old influenza (with all its unpleasanties) with a new name and Onicrom being a fancy definition of the common cold - but what do I know!
But to be able to sell the jab as a vaccine the definition for vaccination was changed by the CDC as well as the WHO in 2021.
This was the definition of the CDC for vaccination since at least May 16, 2018:
Immunity: Protection from an infectious disease. If you are immune to a disease, you can be exposed to it without becoming infected.
Vaccine: A product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, protecting the person from that disease. Vaccines are usually administered through needle injections, but can also be administered by mouth or sprayed into the nose.
Vaccination: The act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease.
Immunization: A process by which a person becomes protected against a disease through vaccination. This term is often used interchangeably with vaccination or inoculation.
The change was made September 2021:

With this small but significant change in definition, the point of vaccination is led ad absurdum. Vaccinations are not about immunity anymore but about socalled protection - whatever that means.
Ok, I guess I am not confuses, I am pissed off.
As I live in Germany, I would like to give you an insight of the rules and regulations here (which may or may not differ from the ones in your country of residence).
Let’s begin with (I took the liberty to translate the German version of the regulations from the site of the German Government as the english version is not regularly updated):
First part on isolation for infected persons. In general: Release after 7 days with PCR or rapid test. For employees in hospitals, care facilities, etc.: Discharge after 7 days with mandatory PCR test (negative result or Ct value over 30) and if symptom-free for at least 48 hours beforehand. For children and adolescents in day-care centres, schools, etc.: discharge after 7 days with PCR or rapid test.
Second part on quarantine for contact persons. In general: discharge after 7 days with PCR or rapid test. For employees in hospitals, care facilities, etc.: Discharge after 7 days with PCR test or rapid test. For children and adolescents in day-care centres, schools, etc.: discharge after 5 days with PCR or rapid test (exceptions possible with additional protective measures such as testing and masking obligations).
Without testing: release from isolation or quarantine after 10 days.
The following contact persons do not have to be in quarantine: boostered persons, "freshly" doubly vaccinated persons, vaccinated recovered persons and "freshly" recovered persons. "Fresh" means that the illness/vaccination occurred less than 3 months ago.
The last bit makes absolutely no sense to me as we know that the jabbed are just as infectious and can transmit Covid like anyone else - again, what do I know.
Now comes the part that really sets me off though and makes me seriously doubt if there is any common sense left in our government and yes, it is of course a rhetorical question:
The 2G Plus rule* will apply nationwide in gastronomy.
Federal-state decision: 2G Plus in gastronomy.
Access only for vaccinated and recovered persons with daily updated test; for boostered persons (without test from the day of booster vaccination).
*In Germany 2G stands for Geimpft = Vaccinated and Genesen = Recovered and Plus = additionally tested.
I am guessing that most of you can immediately see why this sets me off and I find the illogic in this simply mind boggling. Just to clarify what I mean:
You got the jab - twice - and yet you have to take a test because the jab does not work but the test gives you the certainty that you are not infected, ergo, the test works and is reliable!
You got the jab - three times - and you don't have to wait for your body to react, because the booster works immediately (I wonder why you have to wait two weeks after the second jab) and you definitely cannot be a carrier of the disease - which by now we also know to be false.
As an unjabbed healthy person the access to gastronomy and all other social facilities and events is denied to you. You cannot take a test (even if you wanted to, to gain access) because obviously the test is not reliable and does not work.
Mind boggling, right? So the test, which we now know is inconclusive anyway, works for the jabbed but not for unjabbed. In other words, this is a selective and obviously discriminatory test! Where are the human rights organisations when you need them?
I could go on forever… It is the constant contradictions, inconsistencies, lies and obvious deceptions that drive me insane. It simply goes against my need to understand things. And it doesn't matter if someone jabbed or not, the real solidarity as I see it is, to boycott everything and every place where not EVERY HUMAN is welcome, as far as somehow possible!
