My dear friends, I believe we will all agree that this year has been challenging in many ways. Today I would like to invite you – not to my home, although my door is always open to friends – but to end the year with me on a positive and happy note. I have done this before a few years back and it was a wonderful experience for me, and everyone that joined me on that journey.
Starting from Saturday, December 11, 2021 I would like to invite you to join me on a “21 day of abundance’ challenge and meditation”. I would be delighted if those of you that joined me last time will join me again.
If you accept my invitation, just hit the reply button of todays mail and let me know so I can tell you how you may be a part of this amazing journey to more abundance in your life!
📚My Poem of the Day
English writer D.H. Lawrence’s (1885-1930) prolific and diverse output included novels, short stories, poems, plays, essays, travel books, paintings, translations, and literary criticism.
His collected works represent an extended reflection upon the dehumanising effects of modernity and industrialisation. In them, Lawrence confronts issues relating to emotional health and vitality, spontaneity, human sexuality and instinct. After a brief foray into formal poetics in his early years, his later poems embrace organic attempts to capture emotion through free verse.
“Bei Hennef“ is a relatively unknown poem that explores the hopeless of being without someone you love. Hennef is a town in Germany that has the river of Sieg running through it. “Bei Hennef” tells a story of finding peace from anxiety while walking and reflecting on the love for someone very special that you cannot forget. Becoming more and more passionate about this love, but realising at the end that they are perhaps destined to suffer. Lawrence wrote this poem in May 1912 while sitting on a train station platform in Hennef.
Bei Hennef
The little river twittering in the twilight,
The wan, wondering look of the pale sky,
This is almost bliss.
And everything shut up and gone to sleep,
All the troubles and anxieties and pain
Gone under the twilight.
Only the twilight now, and the soft “Sh!” of the river
That will last forever.
And at last I know my love for you is here,
I can see it all, it is whole like the twilight,
It is large, so large, I could not see it before
Because of the little lights and flickers and interruptions,
Troubles, anxieties, and pains.
You are the call and I am the answer,
You are the wish, and I the fulfilment,
You are the night, and I the day.
What else—it is perfect enough,
It is perfectly complete,
You and I.
Strange, how we suffer in spite of this!
🎶My Song of the Day
I am an absolute series junkie and I find so much amazing music while watching, always having my most used app at hand – Shazam – and I came across todays song while watching a lovely series called “Virgin River”. The song is from the end of episode 2 of series 2: “Where It Stays” by Charlotte OC
👀Impressions of the Day
I simply love my walks and runs by Lake Starnberg - true bliss... I just never tire of the view, no matter what the season or weather!
💭Thought of the Day
Meditation has been a - more or less - regular part of my life for many years now. I neglected the practice a while ago, I don’t even quite know why, and it did me no good. I can't even say that I consciously missed it, but since I've put meditation back into my life as a daily routine, it all somehow feels better again.
Many people believe - including me in the past - that it takes special capabilities to meditate. I can reassure anyone who has not dared or found it difficult. You need exactly 3 things to meditate:
1. a comfortable position (no, you don't have to form your legs into a pretzel or be particularly limber).
2. have the will to take a few minutes a day just for yourself.
3. this is the really difficult part, you have to be able to breathe in and out.
I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate my invitation from above to join me on the “21 day of abundance’ challenge and meditation”, starting from Saturday, December 11, 2021.
If you would like to connect with me, find out more about the Enneagram and yourself, how it can transform you and your life, I would be happy to take the time for a speed coaching call that you can reserve right here , go to my website or simply hit reply and get in touch with me directly.

Tanja 🤗
